SW 6 - Tuesday 10:00am - 11:00am
Contextual collaboration is a new approach to collaborative software that involves using collaborative services, such as discussion forums, persistent IM chats, document libraries, web conferences etc, all shown and used in the context of business process applications such as CRM, ERP, etc.... In this session we will cover key architectural concepts and metaphors of Lotus Workplace that enable contextual collaboration in your applications by using two sample scenarios. The first will walk through how a generic J2EE portal based application can be extended with contextual collaboration. The second will show how an existing application can be integrated as a component into a template based Lotus Workplace Application. You will walk away with a technical understanding of how Lotus Workplace can extend your business process applications with contextual collaboration.
