INV105 Glimpsing the Future: Report from IBM Research
Irene Greif; Matthew Mckeon / 23.01.2007 21:00:00

This session provides an overview of IBM Research in Cambridge that sets directions for new offerings from Lotus Software. We'll present two or three projects, such as Many Eyes, an experimental web site for sharing data and visualizations that promotes deeper understanding of social issues and new tools for collaborative data analysis. We are also working on a tag-based file-sharing system and innovations in shared bookmarking, and can discuss the impact that use of these tools has on social networking in an enterprise. We'll also include a preview of the Research Lab kiosks. This session will be of interest to strategists interested in leading edge thinking on technology that can impact organizational design.
