Abstract
Abstract

Effective mission critical solutions demand "high service levels under duress". In this session, we will discuss a holistic practical approach to business continuity and mission critical application survival within medium/large organizations. Learn about: natively clustering of Lotus servers (Domino, QuickPlace, Sametime), complemented with WebSphere Edge Server(ND); embedding disaster recovery, anti-hacking, denial of service, and virus recovery strategies in your topology design and deployment; and coping with OS bugs/vulnerabilities. A cross platform/product approach to avoid single points of failures and troubleshooting gotchas+kludges will be presented along with non-trivial backup/restore implications. Finally, hear about real life partnering experiences with "Penumbra" achieving reliable balanced usage of available resources.
