The advent of DB2 as an alternative data store has opened up lots of opportunity for leveraging SQL to provision Lotus Domino views with new data, presented in new ways with new navigational capabilities never possible before in Lotus Domino. This jumpstart will first review the basic design tasks used to create elements necessary for enabling DB2 Access Views and Query Views. We'll then show how to write SQL queries using JOINs, UNIONs and aggregation to pull in and relate content from outside the current Lotus Domino database. Finally, the mechanism for opening foreign documents will be described and demonstrated. Come take a first look at the future of integration in Lotus Domino!
