This session will take you through planning effective and attractive UI and architectural design for your IBM Lotus Notes 8 composite applications. We'll give you the information you need to make a collection of reusable components look and function like an integrated whole. We'l cover UI patterns for composite applications and the related architectural patterns, tips for how to make the best use of components and their properties, and an introduction to Lotus Notes 8 UI style guidelines. You'll leave the session with a good foundation in how to effectively address your users' needs in a composite application they will want to use. combine with "Creating attractive interfaces for your Notes and browser applications", submitted by Kristina Beckley Crafting a great application requires solid architecture and code. However, to guarantee a positive reception by your users and high adoption rates, you also must have a well designed user interface. This session will show you how to create attractive and highly usable interfaces for Lotus Notes and browser applications. We will discuss approaches to UI creation for both platforms and provide specific tips and tricks for creating great interfaces. As part of the session, youâ€™ll receive an overview of relevant guidelines and resources including how to blend in with the new Lotus Notes 8 look and feel.
