Websphere Studio is part of the WebSphere eBusiness platform. It is based upon the open source tool platform Eclipse and is available in 4 different versions, from site developer to enterprise developer. A first version is shipped to support Java, forthcoming releases will support other languages like COBOL and PLM. IBM Websphere Studio currently is one of the richest J2EE Development Environments available on the market. The environment is fully wizard driven to maximize efficiency and quality of software development.

The presentation shows the basic elements and design goals of the product.
