Portals provide a secure single point of access to diverse information and applications, giving users convenient access to everything they need to get their tasks done. This session will discuss the design and architecture of WebSphere Portal Server and the overall architecture of a complete portal solution, including design advice for a positive user experience, user and group management, a unified presentation framework, application integration, single sign-on, relevance and personalization, collaboration, mobile access, and content management. Other topics will include the use of Web Services in portals, and the concepts of syndicated content and how these concepts can be applied to enterprise computing.
