.GCC Paderborn presented concepts, highlights, application environments, software architectures of k-Pool to participants at the University of Teheran. Prof. E. Pulst, from the GCC Bocholt department, who is currently as a visiting professor at the University of Teheran initiated the web conference. The moderators Edda Pulst (Teheran, Persia), Ludwig Nastansky & Ingo Erdmann (Paderborn, Germany) and Carsten Huth (University of Essex, United Kingdom) positioned k-Pool and its unique k-Pool-object metaphor as important component for media management in learning management systems. Features discussed were: up-to-date management, scalability, personalization, security, integration, individualized user interfaces & 'surfaces', LOM & SCORM compatibility. Applications of k-Pool in industry and education were presented. People attending the conference were members from University of Teheran, automotive industry, banking, as well as miscellaneous departments of the public administration (IT, science, transport).
